# Equipments

Equipment refers to the various items you use in the game. They are used to perform an action, such as rod to fishing, or to customize, such as a banner.

There are 5 types of equipment in the game. These are:

* **Rod:** Used for catching fish.
* **Bait:** Used to catch fish that prefer that type of bait.
* **Hammer:** Used to fix rods, apply/remove templates, and craft items.
* **Banner:** Personalizes the top area of your profile card.
* **Level Bar:** Personalizes your level bar.

### Rods

There are 14 different rods in the game. Each rod has durability, catch rates, and template slot values. These values may vary between different rods.

* Durability: Indicates how many times you can cast a rod. Players starting the game for the first time are given a "Starter Rod" with unlimited durability.
* Catch Rates: Indicates the catch rates for fish and crates.
* Template Slot: Indicates the number of templates you can attach to your rod.

### Bait

Some fish have favorite baits. You can only catch these fish by using their specific favorite bait. When you select a bait from your inventory to use, the amount/durability of that bait decreases by 1 with each cast.

There are 8 baits in the game. Five of these baits are natural baits, and three are lures. Natural baits have a package quantity value; this value indicates how many times the bait can be used. Lures have a durability value; this value also indicates how many times the bait can be used.

### Hammer

It is used to fix your rod, apply a template to your rod, or remove a template, and to craft items. Each hammer has a hammer strike value, repair value, and template apply/remove features. One hammer strike is spent per action.

You can find the hammers in the crates.

### Banner

It is an item that visualizes the top back area of your profile card and can be found in crates. To see the effect of this item in the game, use the `/profile` command to view your own or another player's profile card.
